The valley cover baffling is definitely better than the LS1 valve cover style routing. Now whether or not the new valley cover ('04 and up) is better then the older style is debateable. Since it is an orifice style system, a one way check valve is a good idea on forced induction engines. Later.

Fixed orifice PCVs are poop. I have one, and I did a test by capping off my PCV and my idle stabilized a lot. You could even see the MAP difference in my HPTuners logs. I just bought a regular one, and I will log with that and see how it goes. If it doesn't help I may just go with a breather...

The Z06 has a special oil separater built into the lifter valley cover, here at the dealer when we do rings on one of these for oil consumption we are instructed to use the "second design" cover on the ealy Z06 when we reassemble the engine. This is also an oil consumption concern so there must be an internal change in that cover. There is NO PCV like the LS-1 has.
