Default What Are the Differences Between '01 and '02 LS6 Heads?

I know the newer heads have lighter valves. Is there any diffences with the ports or chambers?

Thats what I thought but I did a search and someone mentioned that the '01 had a different casting process compared to '02. Sounded similar to the difference between 853 and 241 heads. Any truth to this?
