Default is this normal??

i need help fast. i put a new axle in my 2000 camaro SS. i now have everything back together but when i have the car in gear and i turn one axle the other axle spins the opposite way. i thought thats not supposed to happend on a posi. also when it is in gear i can turn the ring gear with my hand and the driveshaft turns. i'm not sure if all this is normal but i don't think it is. the only thing i did was take out that steel block in the middle so i could see the c-clips. what could be worng. somebody help please Btw when i am in gear and i turn one axle the other goes the opposite way but the ring gear does not move only the side gears and the spider gears do.

Default Torsen?

Sounds like you have a Torsen differential in that axle. It acts like a one wheel wonder but under load is applies equal torque to the tires.
