Default "Lowcal Customs" Turbo???? WS6...

I just had a quick run in with a lowered black WS6 that had what looked like borla exhaust, and sounded like a turbo. It was definately a sweet sounding car . Anyway, we just did a quick little run and I put about 2-3 cars pulling by the time I shifted in to 4th (from a 2nd gear roll). I run 11.6@122 (traction limited obviously, yea yea, excuses excuses) and have a 2.76 pulley, o/r x pipe, intake, and obviously custom tuning. I wish I had a passenger to operate the video camera .

Anyway, good run whoever you are! My guess is new combo (it's early in the season) so low boost . Otherwise, I can't see how I would have beat him .

I hope he's on the board. I honestly believe that he would have to be running low boost though. I thought LS1's ran MUCH better with decent boost.

haha, thanks.

So without knowing a complete list of mods from the WS6, although I am working on it, what does a turbo LS1 typically trap?

How about I had to turn off the road to go home. I just asked another kid in the car group what the car has, and the guy, Eric, wants to go from a dig. I WILL get that one on video.

". its got a P1SC on it with 10psi and a cat back. its also got a 12bolt rear in it."

He also said that the guy stated it was the first time he lost to an 03 cobra Once he turns the boost up, I don't think he'll have much of a problem with me off spray
Got me Some, I'm glad you posted. How much boost do you run??? If you are running 10#'s, and trapping 120, it definately sounds like the outcome is correct.

You haven't seen "full weight" to you've seen me in an '03 Cobra.

Nice run. I've raced in and against turbo LS1's. They are awesome. Of course, I won too. Never had the pleasure of running a blown LS1 though.

3865# raceweight for me

I was actually surprised I won. I figured with me only trapping 122, a boosted LS1 would be trapping mid 120's. Apparently, this is NOT the case. Most appear to trap high teens to low 120's on the stock longblock.

Oh yea, and sorry to say ladies, when I race him from a dig I will be spraying my 175 shot

Nice kill. When I was considering a ATI Procharger they sent me a bunch of papers and info and what not and according to this paper it says that 8# your looking at 530+Hp on a otherwise stock car. correct me if im wrong but isnt anything above 8# a D-1SC?? i might be wrong. So im guessing with 10#s and some mods hes at high 500 to low 600hp.
cant wait to hear about the next race... make sure you get it on video, that would be a bad *** vid to watch.

I'm not sure if ATI still does so, but they used to make all their "advertised" numbers flywheel numbers.

I remember when I raced a Turbo LS1. Neon

We pulled over and talked for a bit. He said he trapped around 125mph off the bottle!
