Default Center caps...

to replace the center caps on the ZR-1 style rims, do you have to take off the rim just to replace the caps??

That is the easyest way to get the center cap out. Unless there is something wrong with the cap, they dont come out with out mesing them up, if you try to get them from the front. Just take the wheel off and you can see the back of the cap. Just press and it will pop out.

The easiest way is to remove the wheels but if you don't plan on keeping the old center caps, you can always get out your hammer and a screw driver. There is nothing behind the cap to get damaged, just smack it in the center of the cap until the screw driver goes through, twist the screw driver 90 deg and pull the old cap off.
