Default what is needed in the bottom end of the motor for a 175-225 shot...

okay i need the complete list and prices and which brands ya'll woudl reccomend please

can i just do pistons and rod bolts? if so which?

i think i want to do pistons/rod bolts and throw a 175-200 shot on it.. i was planning on a 150 for the cam with stock bottom end..

but i have no idea as far as what bore size.. which piston, which piston type.. id really rather not have to buy heads or worry about pvc or **** like that... id really not like to change compression much.. somewhere b/t 10.1 to 10.6:1 at most. has anyone done any of this just to beef it up?

im pretty sure ill need about 250$ in machine work along with whatever it cost to get it balanced.. i guess ill use the same shop who did my 350 block. its time to decide once and for all if im going to do this or just wait till next year, id rather get it over with now to be honest... cam will be here this week, so i need advice fast.

if you already have a cam, then i'd stick with the same amount of cubes, and just get a clean-up hone if that. if you're gonna spray a 225 shot i'd get forged rods, those go quick with ls1's at that kind of shot(they go quick at any kind of high-level abuse). diamond pistons are good, eagle rods will hold up fairly well if you're on a budget. i suggest you give a few sponsors a call to get an idea of what is really involed in a project like this.

well what do i need to get then? bearings what else goes along with it?

i will prolly just wait.. i have the f14 on a 114 lsa, over the winter, im thinking ill just swap out pistons and rods and heads and maybe then step the shot up.. rather then rush to do it at the same time as this cam.
