Normally when you change the settings in your PCM, you first save a copy of the original factory tune.... so if your tuning skills suck, you can return it to stock...

I just got a quote of $132 to reflash to stock. Before anyone else makes derogatory comments about not saving the original flash, this is my story...

- PCM sent to Ed Wright in 2000 before LS1-Edit was available.
- Paid $50 to have a dealer load the stock tune on a Tech2, right before a dyno tune. I did not have LS1-Edit. They wouldn't take the time to download the Ed Wright tune and the stock tune as LS1-Edit files. Complained numerous times and all I received was "you're asking for more than you paid for". What I got was 3-4 pulls on the dyno, 10-15 minute test drive, major burst knock, a bad attitude, and a bill for $500. I didn't go back to the shop until that tuner left. I'd like to think I'm on good terms with the shop again.

I suppose I could send the PCM back to Ed, but I'd feel better about getting the correct calibration from the dealer. Besides, I just took Ed's sticker off the PCM a few days ago when I had it out.
