Finished my over the axle duals, pics inside I thought I'd share some pics of my true dual setup that I just finished. Its 2.5" all the way back over the axle, fabricated by myself from mandrel bends. The X-pipe and torque arm mount are custom-made to clear each other and not kill ground clearance. I had to modify the torque arm mount and bottom bend of the torque arm to clear the driver's side pipe (see https://ls1tech.com/forums/suspension-brakes/182844-check-out-my-custom-torque-arm.html for more info on the torque arm).
The mufflers are Magnaflow 11366, with offset/center ports and 11" body length. I chose them because they are 3" shorter than the standard Magnaflow 4x9's, which really helped fitment (notice how I even had to cut off ~2" of the muffler tubes to get the bends aimed over the axle). Routing over the axles wasn't incredibly difficult, it just takes a lot of patience and heat sheilding. The tips are Ractive T820.
The sound is deep and muscular compared to my old setup (catted Y with stock WS6 catback). It really starts to growl and get loud past half throttle. Performance-wise, I haven't had a chance to go WOT yet (it just lights the tires up with the cold pavement), but I can definately tell there is more power there and increased throttle response. Hopefully I'll get the chance to go to the dyno and track within the next 4-6 weeks and see exactly where its at.

wow that is possibly the cleanest OTA dual setup i've seen yet...have any pics from the side of the car for clearance?? does it rattle at all??
what was the ballpark total cost of the entire setup

Looks really good. I would paint the mufflers black so they arent as noticeable from behind. And drive your car, because based on how clean it is underneath, it appears you never do!

Thanks for the compliments guys. It definately wasn't a very quick project, but it went faster than I thought. It took two weeks working in the evenings and some on the weekends, with a couple days layover waiting for mufflers. I am happy with the results.
To address some of your questions...... I'll try to get a sound clip. I think my dad has a digital camcorder than I can use, so I might grab that this weekend. Look for something next week.
As for why I didn't take both pipes over the passenger side since I have the panhard relocation kit, is because I was planning all along to go over both sides. I figured I would need the relocation kit for any kind of OTA duals, so I bought and installed it months ago. After installing it and seeing the clearances, I realized that it probably wouldn't have made any difference whether or not I had or not. I definately wouldn't do the relocation kit if I had to do it over again.
I wrapped all the wires and harness block on the driver's side with adhesive-backed heat shielding. You can see some of it in one of the pics in the link I posted. You can take some of the wires and zip tie them over closer to the brake lines, which kind of opens up a space to route the pipe through.
Side clearance pics are in the link. No rattling, even though the driver's side muffler ended up closer to the floor pan than I would have liked (figured out a better way to hold it during fitup on the passenger side).
Cost breakdown for the setup was around: tips=70, mufflers=130, bends/reducers=135, flanges/gaskets/hangers/paint=60, for a total of around $400. I could have skimped on some stuff like all the flanges, gaskets (used copper), hangers, and paint, but I figured why bother with $30 if I'm going to the trouble of doing it. The tips were actually a really good price, and the mufflers were around average.
Yes, I did make the torque arm myself. That was my winter project last year.
The mufflers will be painted black (actually taking them off tonight to do that). Oh, and the reason why the underside is so clean is just because I got bored one night when I first got my lift and was looking underneath and figured I might as well wipe it down!
