Default tune below 2500???

does anybody do tuning below 2500 RPM at WOT???
is there any point or reason??or even can you???
Just curious...going to be doing som etuning myself to get things close before letting a tried and true professional do the detail work
I'm just thinking of the "too lazy to downshift / need to pass somebody on the highway" maneuver

I try to avoid it. Your chances of pinging are pretty good when you load up your engine at too low an RPM...

I always start all my tuning and dyno runs from 1000 rpm , ever load point the engine can get to needs to be tuned for optimal results.

Yes the engine is prone to detonation down there , thats exactly the reason to tune that area to get the fueling and timing spot on throughout the rev range.

We are lucky in that we use a eddy current dyno so I can hold the engine at any speed/load for as long as we like while tuning.

Yes. I nailed my fueling down but I get knock around 2500 with the stock timing table, working to tune that out.
