ANY chance in hell?
Hey everyone. I was all set to finish my exhaust and cam my car, and have one of the faster LS1's in my area, until tonight. I saw a guy I went to high school with and what did he have? An '01 Z, M6, SLP LT's/Corsa, full bolt-ons, G5X4 cam, and ported/milled stock heads. Claiming a run of 11.6X on DR's. Here's my question: is there anyway I could beat him, and if so, what would I need? I'm already planning on camming my car, and have the mods listed below, but would a TSP233/239 or TR230 be good? Do I need better heads? Please help, because I'd really like to beat this guy,
Adam

I have the 233/239 cam and really like it, but personally i would do a set of heads with this cam, with a good set of tires and a cam and all your bolt ons you will more than likley get him out of the hole but on top end he will pull. Really its a drivers race and if you really want to beat him just throw a 100 shot on there and his *** is yours! Hope you get him ive been in that situation before and know what it feels like.

NO offence dude but it is going to alot more than that to have "one of the faster LS1's" in the south burbs of Chicago. There are some stupid fast cars around here. Unfortunatly mine is not one of them though.
