i believe they started in 99. i have a 6.0 in my 2000.

Yes, 99 and up. However, you want to stay away from the 99 and 00s, They have cast iron heads they don't flow as well as the aluminum ones that came in 01 and later.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm not worried about the heads just the shortblocks. I had a forged 6.0L in my WS6 that I sold and now need a replacement engine, and depending on the price it will be easier to find a 6.0L from a junkyard than it will be to find another aluminum 5.7
