In looking at my manual I show code 83 to be a reverse inhibit switch for a manual trans..
Sure its not an 85?

That is very interesting!!!! that is what the code said at first, we thought that we were loosing our minds when it changed to 83 TCC feedback fault and the reverse inhibit was gone

On datamaster, the code number stayed the same but the code description changed. I think I may know what happened. Maybe I hadnt switched it over to a4 from when I was reading my m6. Maybe tahts what happened if that code was for an m6. But on either occasion the code was 83

well that explains that part anyway. But is there a way to tell if it is actually operating properly? If it is just a nucence code.
