Default How high should I raise the misfire values?

I recently installed a cam/headers/intake and now I get misfire codes. If I clear the codes they come back in a few minutes.

How high should I increase the engine misfire numbers to or should I be looking elsewhere for another answer?

All the plug wires clicked once on plugs and twice on coils!

The light comes on and stays on. I think it said it is a random misfire code. What does the light mean (blinking vs solid)?

Alright, I was just reading an old post about the random misfire code and it says that a y-pipe smacking the floor boards would be a possible cause of this.

My y-pipe smacks my floor boards pretty good at idle. Would this be my problem? Any have this problem and fix it by stopping the y-pipe from banging?

What do the Freeze Frame data say?

I agree with the low and mid rpm values to 32000. That should solve the problem.

Right now I am chasing a 0300 code at 2300-2500 rpm and 15% throttle opening. That can't be fixed by the 32000 in those 2 tables.

I will keep trying things.

Keep us posted.

So you should change the whole table in the idle and low rpm to 32000? I just changed the ones that were 32767 to 32000 and that didn't seem to help.

I'm also getting a TPS code when its throws the misfire code. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm not sure exactly. I'll have to pull the code again the next time I'm in the car. I just know the tps code pops up at the same time as the misfire code.

Are you talking about misfire enable/disable temps? If you are, the problem with that is that you get no misfire detection other than in those temps. By setting idle and low rpm to 32000 you can still detect if there is misfire in the higher rpm where the cam doesn't affect it.

I haven't touched the set screw. I drove the car for about 100 miles today and didn't get any codes. I'm gonna go back and change the idle and low rpm tables to all 32000 and see if it fixes it for good. Thanks for all the help. I'm still learning this stuff.

Reviving the old,

What tables in edit need adjusted to raise the misfire detection?

I've been fighting the P0300 code since I installed my TR230 cam. Onlay happens at idle.
