tr224 is a good streetable cam but some would consider it mild. Their are several choices of bigger cams with greet streetability.
Some Ex. TSP 231/237, F11-F14 from futral, Speed Inc has a good bit & Speed Inc has a similar one to TSPs 231/237 just different lift #s. MTI has quite a few.
Any number of these cams will get you close to or over 400rwhp cam only with the right bolt-ons and tuning while still retaining great street manners. I had great results with the F11 in my 99z. Got 388rwhp in an a cam only automatic & had awesome street manners and w/ Speed Incs 224/224 .581 cam in my SS. Got 430rwhp but had tea heads.
You have so many choices but ur original choice of the TR224 is a good one but imho id go bigger. Im sure others will post results of different cams and you'll be able to make a good decision then Just give one of these shops a call and tell then ur goals and they'll hook you up. just my .02 cents

the vinci 062 cam is very streetable and gives no issues on the street and tuning. the 056 would be the next biggest with some very noticable lump.http://www.vincihighperformance.com/...%20LS1%202.htm

I've had the TR224 for over 2 years and I DD it damn near everyday. It's a great street cam with no issues. Nice broad powerband also. My setup makes 352rwtq @ 3K rpms and hits 385 @ 4100, makes for fun driving.

I had a TR224 114; it was very streetable, but I would not say without issues. All aftermarket cams have issues to some degree, or they would have been included with the engine from the factory. I have a 235/240 now which I'm really happy with, but it has a lot more "issues" than a TR224. It's all just a mater of how high your tolerence is. I actually enjoy the little quirks my cam has; makes it a race car and very unlike a smooth running Buick.

I say get the G5X2. You shouldnt have anything to worry about as long as you get a solid tune.

Another vote for the 224 cam. Great power all thru the range and still driveable w/o any other major mods. TR makes 'em in either 114 or 112 LSA....pick you weapon !

Anybody in here have experience with an FMS F12-F13 cam for DD? Seems more likley to get me to 400whp with bolt-ons and an LS6 manifold.

I DD mine with the F13 and love it. It's running on the old tune for the TR224 cam with only a few problems. Getting a retune next Saturday though.

In my opinion, if you run a decent size cam, you should get it tuned. I picked up 24 hp and 21 tq when I had my car tuned with bolt ons and the TR224.

What difference does the LSA do? 112 vs. the 114? I have an auto. I know that the 112 has more of a lope, but what does that mean for power? Is the 112 going to be a problem with an auto car?

I DD mine and it's pretty streetable with a good tune. Put down 406hp and 392rwtq, kinda feels like I might have lost a little torque down low but it pulls like crazy after 3k. I have midlength headers, lid, ORY, and Magnaflow CB. Cam is a 226/226 584/584 112.

I can get a thunder racing cam for about 50 bucks cheaper than futral, so I think they close enough that the price is going to be my deciding factor.
