Default Strange smell after GC 0w30

Anyone notice a strange smell after using GC 0w30? I guess LS1's burn oil with Mac Mids, cause it never did it before!! Any how just curious about the smell thing..

is it an ester based oil? does it smell sweet?

Not sweet just strange I'm not sure about the ester based..I'll have to check when I get home..

i dunno what ester is, but GC is full synthetic.

GC is known to smell like gummy bears.

Ester is a base, I sell alot of Motul which is an ester based oil. Most of your group 4 oils are refined dinosoar (sp?) oil.
