ses light
this is probably a shot in the dark but here it goes...
before i had my LT's installed (still running hi flow cats w/sensors) my car's ses light came on. i replaced the gas cap and had autozone delete the code. running fine for months until just before my new exhaust. i went ahead and had the exhaust done (headers, cats, x-pipe,). when i got the car back from the shop the ses light had turned off until i drove a few miles.
i had my mechanic run a diagnostic check and everything checked out fine, no misfires, timing is right. since then i have changed plugs (which i wanted to do anyway) and had the code deleted again from autozone. this time the guy at autozone said the error code was "bad fuel" or something. i bought a fuel system cleaner additive and still the light is on.
the car runs fine and i guess i've grown used to the light being on but i'd rather have it off.
has anyone had this happen before??
