Default MTI stage 2E head flow numbers

Lift Int Ex
.100..............69.2...........61.8
.200..............134.0.........109.9
.300..............191.7.........144.6
.400..............241.7.........174.1
.500..............276.5.........192.8
.550..............289.1.........201.5
.600..............298.6.........204.8
.650..............283.9.........209.2

i am really impressed with the mid to peak lift numbers from .400" to .600"...especially on the intake side. the numbers from .100" to .300" dont look to hot, but from .400" on up look strong. i have been researching for weeks and i still havent come up with the best cam for my application. is there a way to match the cam to my head flow numbers to get the most out of my setup....or is it just a matter of what im going to use the car for??

mti flowed them. supposedly the stage 2e heads come with 2.02 and 1.56 but the flow sheet says the specs are 2.02 and 1.57, so i dunno which. ill need to call and mti and see whats up with that. also, they flow their heads without a pipe, so just a lil FYI. any opinions Bo?? i know u know ur stuff

Just to compare; TEA 5.3 Stg 1.5 2.02 Int 224cc INT runner size

INT

.100.....69.36
.200.....139.97
.300.....202.4
.400.....251.4
.500.....289.86
.550.....303.9

TEA flows the exhaust with a pipe so I won't even post those #'s

Wickid Z, What kind of numbers are you putting down with the stealth cam and 2E heads? Also, any track times yet?

not yet man, i havent even had it tuned yet cuz i was gonna wait to pick a better cam. im trying to match a cam to my heads the best i can. im lookin real hard at the tsp225. that cam is makin some great numbers, especially with heads. apexman has the same setup...stage 2e heads with tsp225 cam and hes puttin down 427/391...not to mention the curve is beautiful and thats with stock tb and pulley. heres the thread

[QUOTE=AFTICA] How many cc's are the intake runners on the MTI's?

i called chris at MTI and he said runner size is nto something they usually measure. but hes gonna have one of his machinists measure another set of stage 2e heads today and give me the numbers. so i should have them posted today or tomorrow.

by the way, to all the guys at MTI.....yall rock

Anytime you get a LS1 casting goin over 300cfm your doin good. The exhaust numbers w/o a pipe look good as well, compaired to mine its like this:
.200 109
.300 138
.400 165
.500 191
.600 202
These are my numbers w/o a pipe and a production 1.55 valve(which flow pretty good for what they are). I am by no means a professional at porting especially since Ive never had an opportunity to have a flowbench at my disposal to play with on port shapes The .300 and .400 #s look real good compairitively speaking.

WICKID Z... If you want the absolute best cam to match your heads, give EDC from this board a call. He will design a cam based on your mods and goals for $450 ish.
