I have a 408 going in my 99 FRC Corvette in six weeks and I'm trying to get an idea of what to expect.I will be running a TNT 200 shot w/MTI S1 cam .I have Kooks 1 7/8 headers hi-flow cats,LSX 90mm intake and LS2 TB.
PLease list:
Nitrous
Hp/Tq
6spd/Auto
yr/make

I am currently running H/C w/150 shot and getting 10.80's @129mph.
Thanks for the help!!

My 408 with a 225 shot made 640 rwhp at the wheels thru a th350, 12 bolt, 3:42 gears and slicks. Depending on your cars weight i'd say 9.40's up to 9.70's depending on proper set up.

6.0 ltr iron block bored .030 over
Calles 4" forged crank
Crower 6.125" forged rods
Diamond 4.030" forged pistons
CNC custom LQ9 high compression heads 2.055 intake/1.70 exhaust valves
Cometic head gaskets
LSX 90MM intake manifold and T/B
Mezeire Electric water pump
ARP fastners top to bottom, front to back.
The motor actually made more torque than the 666 I showed. We used an MPH graph instead of a RPM graph to smooth it out. When we pulled it we went from 75mph to 125mph in 1.25 seconds. This was thru the TH-400, Moser 12 bolt with 3:73s and on slicks.

Dont mean to hijack the thread, but while we are on the subject, do ya think my PIG vert 408ci, TH400, 3.73 on 26" slicks will see 10's on motor and high nines on spray? (say a 200-250 shot)

Never ran mine on in the 1/4 on motor but it ran a 6.80 in the 1/8th on motor. If you use a 1.57 conversition factor that would be a 10.67, my car weighs 3450 with me in it. The convertible probably weighs somewhere around 400LBS more than that so I would say low 11s on motor.

I think you'll run out of gear with that gear/tire combo on the spray if you even hook at all.
My heavy Trans Am went 11.05 with 3:42's and 28 inch slicks. I'm gonna lighten it up a little to see 10's.

Best 1/8th mile so far was a 5.90 but I've completely changed the set up now, hoping for 5.70s.

Just make sure you go with a 90mm TB & intake.I've seen gains of 40-60rwhp with 90mm setup.
