Motor Trend Announces New GTO on "Zeta" Platform...
Anybody read their issue of Motor Trend yet? Kind of an eye opener on how slow they are at reporting information. They show pictures of the next generation GTO, and report that it is gonna be built on the Zeta platform in the US. Kind of scary...who knows if any of that is true now? Also it just goes to show that you should always take what you read with a grain of salt. I remember Motor Trend reporting on the 3-valve 6.4 Liter LS7 in the C6 Z06...

You struck on the Number 1 reason I got interested in Automotive news from online sources rather than print magazines. Typically they run 3-months behind the latest news because of their time to press issues. Compared to the internet which can run several hours

It's also the lack of accuracy too. I ditched MT about 5~6 years ago and haven't looked back since. A cowtowing pile of doggy dun, and they really lost my respect when they named the pryius car of the year a few years back. Must be nice to get kick backs from the auto makers. (Note this is a personal opinion and not based on any information! Do not intrupert this to be a slander of any type!)

CV Tune was at least passable, but when McDemere (sp?) left them for either retirement or another mag, that's when I said I'm done. He was by far their best writer, and after that, the whole mag went WAY down hill (but I was still in the infancy of my "gearhood."
