Default Flowmaster muffler

80 Series : 80 Series Crossflow Muffler, 2.50" IN (O) / OUT (D)

This is not the cat back just the muffler, can i cut my stock muffler out and weld the 80 series in without changing the cat back pipes. Also im going to install a QTP cutout in my 00 Z28 A4

Thats the one that I have. Be warned it does sound nice but the flow numbers are not that impressive.

Yes, you can cut the old mufler out and weld the Flowmaster in. It will change the sound of your car, but will give zero performance gain. (I did this on my Z when I first purchased it.)

Springing the extra $$ for a cat-back (even the Flowmaster f that's the route you're going) will be better in the end. Fitment is better and nothing will need to be custom cut or welded. Hope this helps

Any good muffler shop can fit any muffler--the cat-back is much more $$$ and doesn't add any more power than just the flowmaster..
