Stereo & Electronics - Kenwood KDC-X889 anyone have one?

This new Kenwood looks great and has all the features you could want even measures G force. Anyone have one? I am thinking about buying one. :)

I personally wouldnt do it for the g force. If you want to know how fast your car is, take it to the track. If you want a device that estimates get a gtech pro from one of our sponsors. :thumb:

On the other hand Excelon is the premier of kenwoods.

I could care less about the G force for measuring anything, just a option on it I never seen on a car stereo. It has time alignment also and some way it voice anounces your mp3 files I think. I have a mp922 and sounds great in my car, but it's a earlier model and it is picky which cds I put mp3's on and the front folds out and I'd rather have a fixed hu. For $260 for the Kenwood and all the features I might go for it. There is a mp822 that is almost the same. minus time alignment and a few other things for under $200 on ebay.

Works great for me. my HU and Amp are Kenwood Excelon, Speakers are Infinity. my truck also has my old Kenwood HU a KDC MP8013 (at least i think 13 is the last two)

I have the Kenwood mp922, but it is picky on mp3 discs. Other than that it sounds great.

The unit the OP is referring to, the 889 seems identical to the kdc-mp828 (not excelon line).

What is the difference between the two? From crutchfield's site, they both share the same manual, and spec wise I can't find any difference. Is there a difference???

In the higher end models, are the non excelon kenwood products the same as the excelon, only diff part #'s? Why?
