Default my ported TB

I ported my own and thought it came out pretty well. I see a lot of people paying for a port job so I figured I'd give it a shot and if I messed it up, I'd pay for one. I think it turned out just as good as the ones I've seen, just not quite as shiny. Heres a pic. What do think, look alright?

Man, I wish I could get that mirror shine like the ones you do. I guess it can't make that much of a hp difference but it sure does look good.

Just take a bunch of sand paper, in progressive grades, and work your way up. Then take some jewelers rouge to it(best polish I know of you that you can get in small quantities). You can probably apply it with a dremel buffing bit to make it quicker. It'll polish up like a ****. Port job looks good!!!

yea like he said you can get a mirror finish on it i have on several underhood things i sand until 1500 then 2000 a lil bit (dont know if that helps or not) but then use mothers mag polish with a polisher for a drill you can get at sears followed by a hand coat of mothers billet this seems to work good for me

I do all of my blades by hand- just got finished with one of a matter of fact. It usually takes a little of an hour to do one blade I feel like Danielson afterwards lol. I use a 2 stage polish afterwards . Dont be takin my signature mirror blade now

Everyone that does the TB thing has something they do that no one else does- if they dont they need to. You have to have something that sets yours apart from the rest and the mirror blade is mine . All of the top TB guys in the country make the same gain so that is the only thing guys like me and Ron can do to separate us from each other and from the rest- attention to detail, customer service and price.

Thanks for the tips guys. And as far as the guys that charge to do them, good deal because it took me a long time and I think I would have to charge more to make it worth my time.

It does look really nice, but you dont have to pull the timing cover to install the TB!
