did it... pix in signature.
did it because I hated the finish behind the spokes of the polished ones... was rough aluminum... the painted ones were smooth everywhere.
I basically remove the clear/paint with aircraft remover.
Make sure to use it in a well ventilated area... and the warmer the weather, the better the chemicals will do its work.
I then proceeded to wetsanding the wheels and clean them.
did it in 3 different steps, getting into finer and finer granularity.
Once done, polished it with Mothers compound.
I was **** and took my time... was winter... so it took me roughly 10-15hrs /wheel... all elbow work... pix in links in signature
Hope this helps.
p.s.: the center cap is chrome as well as the lugnut covers.

Ended up staying with true-duals... gave the SLP-duals to a friend.
am modifying the true duals to accomodate cats, mufflers after the axle, and putting electric-cutouts before cats.
