Finally Tuned (233/239)
Well it's been awhile, but I finally got the car tuned and some numbers. I had some wiring problems that held me up after the cam install and delayed me from getting tuned. But we think we got everything set up good, and wanted some opinions.
I have a 1998 Firebird (used to be 3.8) with LS1 swap. Current mods are:
MTI clear Lid
Hooker LT headers
3" magnaflow exhaust
E-Cutout
NGK TR55 plugs
MSD wires
TSP 233/239 Cam
Hardened Pushrods
Ti Retainers
Patriot Gold Duals
Ported LS6 oil pump
LS6 intake
Dyno Tune
Dyno numbers are:
384.3 rwhp 361.2 tq
Let me know what you think please
Here is the graph:

Tranny and rear gear ratio?
Numbers look ok. A ported TB will help a little. I'd expect that cam to be at least in the 390rwhp range with an M6, and would expect the tq to be a little more substantial.
Either way, it's gonna be a load of fun to drive. Enjoy.

Those are close to what most others have been pulling with this cam on this board. There were two (I think) with a little higher numbers, and both were tuned by TSP. I wish I could have had some higher numbers, but oh well I guess

Yeah, you were one of the one's I was thinking about as far as tq. You pulled higher on that, but looks like our hp numbers are pretty close. Would have liked to have your tq to match though
Wasn't there two who pulled closer to 400 that was tuned by TSP also?

i definately see you hitting the 400+rwhp mark with the addition of the ported TB and UD pulley & a lil more tuning, more so with a LSX 78MM or NX 85MM intake/tb combo but dunno if youd think the price would be worth the gains of 8-10rwhp more id think.
Anyway, those are good cam only numbers and the curves look pretty nice!

I hate you, I hate you, I hate you..........I knew this would happen I would talk you out of the 224 cam and tell you to put a bigger one in, and now you put down better #'s then me and I have a TREX. BS......No I am just kidding with you man. I am glad that your car runs as good as it does. I know that you have put a ton of time into that car. I am glad that I have been able to help you as much as I have. Hopefully I will be able to do some of your tunning very soon. I like to see if I can help your #'s at all.
Your next goal.....Try to keep it on the street and not on the jacj stands.

Thanks nostyta!
Ha-Ha Matt. Yep, you've been a big help in a lot of things with the car, and it's appreciated. Now, get off the board and get back to learning how to tune some sh** LOL
Jack Stand = no no LOL

I think the problem lies in the heads. I have a 98' TA and put down 384/374 with the TSP 225/114 cam. I did have a UD pulley but no cut out and Pacesetter LT's. Like I was saying though. I think these heads (806) are maxed out around 225-228 duration. I put a Shaner S3 on the car and gained nothing. Good luck with your combo. I hope you find some more power.
