Default took some motor pics today

hey guys......

just felt like showing off where i'm at right now in getting the car together. so, today i took some pics of the motor, even though it's not all that clean from finger prints and dust from sitting in the warehouse. let me know what you think if you want. btw.....not the best background either.

Those are some odd lookin valve covers. Almost look like their too big for the heads. But I'm most likely on crack right now.

well, first 18* heads are kinda big so it takes a bigger valve cover. then with the decent sized solid roller cam and 1.70 shaft mount rockers, they rock back and forth kinda high. but the biggest reason i think is because it's a bolt through design but not the center bolt style so the sides come out more to accomodate that. here's another pic of the same valve covers that made me want to get them. very nice setup and a member on here too.

Dave

and anothe one. same valve cover and heads, except a different member on here.

I think it is the infamous GM nascar "053" intake. It is custom for an 18 degree tall deck motor. All custom injection work was professionally done.

You can clearly see from the pictures exactly what kind of intake it is.
