Default Don't wash your cell phone

because it won't work

I finished working on my truck, and threw my dirty pair of jeans in the washer. Later I go to put them in the dryer, and at the bottom of the washer sat my cell phone. I hoped that it would work this morning after drying out, but it didn't

Guess I'll have to buy a new phone.

that has happened to me so many times at work. It just falls out of my cover alls into the scrubber(boiler emmisions water filled)takea hair dryer with batt removed on cold air setting and dry it that way.....go down and buy a new batt. The battery gets fried unless it is removed right away.

What if your wife drops it in the toilet at the mall? Yep, pre-flush. Ech.
It still worked after that, but you sure didn't want it near your face. Got a new phone, too.
