Default It's BACK the "SUPER YANK 3500"

Yank, says it's back!!!
The popular SUPER YANK 3500 converter has returned
With all the requests we have had from the LS-1 market for this converter
with the help of the great people of General Motors Parts
we have been lucky to locate a limited supply of the special General Motors Motorsports parts, these are needed for the building of these special converters a Yank exclusive!
The Super Yank 3500 converter has a stall speed of 3500 RPM and an STR of 1.63 there is more info on this converter:

The Super Yank 3500 is a breakthrough in street/strip converters. By using 21st Century materials and CNC manufacturing, the Super Yank provides a superior launch, without blowing the tires off the line. Our customers typically will pull 60' times on drag radials comparable to their competitor's cars on slicks. Although a SuperYank 3500 can easily roast the tires, you can launch nearly as hard on the street as you could at the strip. The SuperYank 3500 provides great midrange torque. The converter will increase torque out to 4500 rpm on an LS1. This eliminates the flat spots after upshifts and makes second gear a monster even at lower speeds. Because of its lower STR and strong midrange, the SuperYank 3500 teams with 3.73s to form a very hot street set-up. As an additional bonus, the Super Yank is the world leader in efficiency...that means your Super Yank will transform engine torque into rear wheel torque almost as efficiently as a manual transmission! All this in a converter that retains good drivability.http://www.converter.cc/tech.htm for graph of this converter

The converters will be ready to ship by may 2th so get your order in early as this might be our last chance at building this special converter after supplies are used up!
Thank's for looking

Our customers typically will pull 60' times on drag radials comparable to their competitor's cars on slicks.
The SY 3500 is my favorite street only converter for 3.23 & 3.73 gear cars, but I the 60' statement just isn't correct. Your ST 3500 would out 60' the SY 3500 by .1 on nittos. It took 3.73 & SY 3500 to match the ST 3500 & 3.23s in 60'.

Anyways, glad to see that you're keeping the converter alive. It truely is a great stoplight racer converter.

The SY3500 convertor is a KILLER on the street, I had a buddy that had this vertor in his hawk, and he could launch so well on nittos on the street it was CRAZY. If someone has a car that that is mostly street driven, and is willing to lose a LITTLE 60' at the track this is the perfect vertor IMO

... and I bought a SS3600 and installed a few months back. I'm happy with this SS3600 and bought it mainly for it's efficiency/STR2.5 rate. So, what's the big deal about a 1.63 STR for the street? ... 60' times as good as my buddy with slicks? ... no way man. I guess it's all about your individual needs, but, I would like to hear more pro's AND cons as compared to the SS series converters.

I LOVE MY YANK!!!!

I'll tell you what the deal is with the SY3500 ... Even with my little SF3000/2.2 & 3.42's, I'm having a hard time launching with Nittos at the track and it will annihilate street tires. The soft hit of the SY3500 allows for traction at launch even as it spins you right up into the powerband. That being said, by all reports, the SS3600 is a great TC, but you have to be serious about managing traction issues. But I have to think the SY3500 would feel pretty loose in daily driving compared to your converter or mine.

Agreed, just raced a Z06 coming home from lunch (seems like this guy times it so he can race me or something) ... I stayed on him and barely gained on him ... let off at 60 ... had I had this SY3500, I probably would have jumped him by a fair distance and passed him, so, for launching, on unheated Nitto's, it makes sense to me now ... still beat him spinning, though.

I have known several people who have an the SY3500 and all of them have praised it. It's great that yank will be able to bring it back for a while.

I considered this converter. Its a great converter, but if you just just got a ss3600, dont be upset, its a great verter too, a friend has that converter and his 60' blows mine away!

Are there any group purchases or specials going on for other yank converters? I am interested in a 2800 or 3200 stall for a c5 corvette.

This is a nice converter.
I had one a couple years ago now.
Bigger has become better for me though.
