Anyone ever modded their I-pipe for a bolt in bullet muffler?
I have FLP headers on my car with cats and I'm thinking about switching out the cats for the race pipes. My question is has anyone done this and added a bolt-in bullet muffler in the i-pipe so if i decide to go back to cats I can switch out the bullet for the straight pipe on there.
What all would I need to make this possible and how much do you think it would cost me? Thanks for any help.
Matt
PS Guesss my other option would be to just buy another I-pipe and get a bullet welded in and do a swap but I don't know how hard it will be to swap out the I-pipes. Damn nevermind I can't do that I welded the Magnflow to it.....**** lol

It would be a royal pain to switch i-pipes.
1. Weld flanges onto bullet muffler.
2. Measure the length of bullet muffler EXACTLY to the 1/16 of an inch.
3. Cut a piece of I-pipe SHORTER than your bullet lenght (this is so you can trim some off if needed. If you cut too much of the i-pipe, your screwed).
4. Tack weld flanges to i-pipe.
5. Mock fit the bullet muffler.
6. Remove a flange and trim i-pipe as need until you get a perfect fit.
7. After you read this, save yourself the hassle, and have a muffler shop do it for you for under $75.
