Default '02 SS tcs question

This question is for a friend of mine with an 02 SS. His didn't come w/ the option of turning tcs on/off and he was wondering how/if he can disable it. Ive done some research but can only find answers to those that have the button to turn it on/off. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.

The ASR button next to the foglight switch is for traction control. If there is no button there, just a black filler piece then he doesn't have traction control.

BTW, I think ASR stands for Acceleration Slip Regulation. The Firebird has the TCS button.

Thanks for the quick response guys! Yeah I had never even driven an SS so I didn't know what he meant when he said ASR button. He was just wanting to roast the tires and said he cant do it very well so he thought ASR was on. Anyway, thanks again!

So did he not know what ASR was, or did he not just have it? Cause if he didn't know what it was
