Well the first two passes were like driving on an ice skating ring. 12.1-2 @ 121 mph, LOL It was spinning so hard on the one-two shift, that I saw a 80mph spike! I'll get a graph up to show you guys shortly.

Then I ran a 11.75 @ 122.5 followed by a 11.64 @ 121 mph, Then:

60' 1.937 Torque converter is now too tight!
330 5.025
1/8 7.527 @ 98.29 mph
1000' 9.668
1/4 11.504 @ 123.76 mph

So, All in all a great day at the track!

Well, the weather cooperated today so I got to beat the H2 all the way down the road legally this time These runs are with the 2.9 Nelson pulley and 8.5 psi. I leave the line at about 2250 rpms on a stock convertor.

First run...

60': 2.137 330': 6.089 1/8: 9.392 @ 74.76 mph 1/4': 14.604 @ 93.55

Second run...

60': 2.088 330': 6.059 1/8: 9.398 @ 74.36 mph 1/4': 14.641 @ 92.57

IAT's were a "cool" 70 degrees above ambient at the start of the first run and were 50 degrees over ambient at the start of the second run. Both runs ended with IAT's in the 150-160 range.

I wish I had video of the runs because it felt pretty strong. There was this dodge cummins turbo diesel that got a real good look at the second run since I crossed the line almost a second ahead of him

I need to add that the 1-2 shift felt "strange and slow" to me on both runs. I just finished reviewing my saved HP Tuner log file from run #2.

Last week I went ahead and changed the valvesprings on the H2 over to a set of springs and retainers that I bought from SDPC. I never experienced any issues with the stock springs (less than 4500 miles on them) but I just wanted to go ahead and do them to ensure that I wouldn't have any issues ever. Anyway, apparently the new springs and retainers allow the truck to rev faster in 1st gear. I can see from the log that I bounced the rev limiter at 6200 rpm then it closes the throttle to 39% and I drop back to 6000 rpm and then it shifted. All this took .800 seconds where the 1-2 shift typically takes .500 seconds. I was sweating that the 1-2 band might be toasted but this clearly shows that the rev limiter was hit. I'd say the truck definitely has a 14.5 and maybe a high 14.4x in it as it sits.

If only I had seen the first log file to see it earlier As a note, I had a commanded shift point of 5800 that was shifting at 6000 rpms on stock springs and retainers. I've readjusted the commanded shift point down to 5700 for the 1-2 and will likely have to drop another 50 rpms to get where I really want to be (6000-6050 rpm).

My best time was "only" a 12.29. Not what I wanted, but an improvement over my previous 12.43. I ran 2 12.37's prior to that (1 with Nittos & 1 with QTPs). My 60" improved 2/10ths to 1.763 (twice, both with QTPs). My best Nitto 60' was 1.793. I made 1 more pass on teh Nittos & discoverd proper burnouts are now important for my car. I ran a 12.4 with a 1.876 60'. The car spun, went to the right, then the left got a little wheel hop & HOOKED! It actually felt like the left front tire came off the ground. My car has NEVER twisted like that before.

The good news is (other than all my friends here calling & sounding dissapointed at the results) was I was able to tune 1 full tenth out of it. So I think there is more there. The bad news is I was only trapping 112, so the car is actually slower on the big end. But like I said, it should go faster with more passes. Leaning it out & raising the shfit points helped, so maybe leaner & more timing will shave some more. We'll see.

Wait til you hear sardogs NOS time!!!

PS You are right Bill, I am ahead of you now.

Sounds like a fun day. 12.29 is nothing to be dissappointed about. What were you expecting? It seems like every time you add some hp/gofast goodie you also add something else that ups the weight. Quit adding heavy ****! Cage still to come too though.

Time for giggle juice?

Today was a good day for racing, and it was a good day.

Thanks for the pic ryan, and that was not the only wheels up run today, hookup was great

The first three runs were on motor and were just like the vid ryan posted. forth run went for a nitrous pass but a busted wire on the silonied made that another 11.2 motor run. but last run of the night looked like this

r/t .030
60ft 1.412
330 4.375
1/8 6.728@104.99
1000 8.75
1/4 10.413 at 133.33

Needless to say no more skating for me, cars runs great. Launches strait, finishes strait.

Oh yhea that was only on a 100 shot spinning 2nd gear

Yea, it's amazing the amount of ground that can be covered with more then a 1500 lb advantage on a 1 mod truck.

I was just ribbing ya but I guess you're a little sensitive. That's racing and it's run what ya brung It's funny though that your sig lists more than one mod... looks like 3 to me. Anyway, I expected more from such a strong dyno figure...

"DYNO'd: 04/01/05 AFE Magnum Intake, Straight Piped & Edge EZ... 325.7HP@ 2700 RPM & 635.1TQ @ 2670 RPM"

Considering that I've seen big extended cab Dodge diesel's run 12's, and then all that stuff about spinning the tires, I guess I gave your truck a lot more credit. My bad

Don't worry Mark I'm sure given a couple more days at the track You will get that ET a little lower. I mean it was only your first time at the track with your car this year so Only better things to come!

Jason looking good man. That is cool you got it to not ice skate anymore. I am guessing it is easier to control also? Congrats on the 10.4. I only have one question though. Where is the 200 shot and traction through first gear .

Those are some great times with teh H2. Keep up the good work man. What are your goal Et's for that thing anywho?

Ryan I bet you have already answered this in other threads but I have not been following very well but are you going to put a cage in and open that car up and let it really fly?

I know it's run what you brung... and that's how it is. As for my mods... I've got an intake which really doesn't gain anything, a removed muffler (otherwise all stock pipe) and my EZ... All that into a 7800 lb truck (not to mention the rolling mass of 20's and 33's), it's a lot to move. And those other diesels running 12's... they've got a lot more done to it. So yea, if I were running a bigger box, injectors, bigger if not twin turbo and upgraded tranny, I could put up with those numbers as well.

My wheels and tires weigh 99 lbs each. I weighed 'em. My truck with me in it is still in the 6500 lb range. How is it your truck is so heavy? When I look on the website it lists all the Dodge 2500's in the 6000 range.

Damned nice numbers!! Sweet fookin light too!

That's it, I'm going next time. Those vids got me ready to race. I feel the need.

When is the next time everybody's going?

That's the weight of the gassers... the diesels weight a lot more. Without me in it and only 1/4 tank (34 gal) it's 7200. I'm 215 and I had 3/4 a tank while at the track.
