Alto Reds are a brand of frictions. Alto USA I think is the manufacturer.

Yea I just paid $950 for one and the guy said it could handle up to 650 RWHP, but I wanted to know if anyone else has heard of them because I certainly haven't.

One of the weirdest stories I've heard in a while.
All the right words are there but they're not in the right order. There is no one named Alto Red, thats not a persons name or a transmission building companies name. Alto USA is a transmission clutch supplier.

caveman is entitled to his opinion or whoever he heard that from.
I happen to think they are good frictions and just built my th400 with them.

So there, now feel better as you now have 2 opposing views you read on the internet.

Default hey

I think alto reds in a th400 are great, love their 400 inter.(2nd) 4 pac , But when you start compairing them to a 4L60E 3-4, your really droping the ball.I wouldn't run alto reds in a 4L60E, 3-4 clutch pac. Hope this helps Dave

Default I think

I think I will just sell this one andget one built so I will know what I have. Dave can you give me a quote on one that handle 750+ RWHP, does anyone know of any 4L60 E's that can handle that power, this CAS kit doesn't fit with a TH400 I don't think, that is why the guy sold it. I will pst this one in a new post.
