Default what do I need to replace? Gear fluid inside wheel

ok... I have a Moser 12 bolt, 33 split, 3.73 gear, cclip elim

I have gear fluid inside of my driver side rear wheel....

Anyone know what part I need to fix this? (part numbers are useful) .. I'm assuming I have to pull the axle to repair ...

Also anyone have pics of what exactly it is i need to replace?

Thanks!

You need to replace the axle seal. The seal costs about $8.00 and you can get it from Autozone or any local parts house.
Yes you have to pull the axle.

Installation is easy. Use the pinion seal instructions in the link below.

awesome thanks! as for the seal... when getting from autozone what should I ask for? (Something tells me they won't be able to pull it up from me saying "I Need an axle seal for a moser 12 bolt 33 spline axle")

Its just an O-ring on the axle bearing, you dont have C-clips so there isnt a seal like the stock rear end.

My bad.
You are correct. I did not even think about the C-clip eliminators.

oh ok... makes sense, that's basically what Moser told me too ... so i just need this o-ring then to stop the leaking right? (it's definetly gear oil, not break fluid)

latest response:

Hello,

C-Clip Eliminator seal, that you can get locally National Seal # 410135 .
Now to track that down... tried napa (brought up a few different parts w/that OEM number), autozone, pepboys, carquest, and lee's auto parts... gotta find a place with this part
