Quick question about ZR1 offsets
Im looking at black ZR1 wheel/tire packages with the chromie lip and I've got two options.
Set #1 17x9.5 and 17x11s with 275/315 sumitiomo tires 38 MM OFFSET $1350 out the door
Set #2 17.9.5 and 17x11s with 275/315 dunlop sp8000s 50 MM Grand Sport Offset $1834 out the door
I know the Grand Sport offset is ideal, but is it really worth the extra $500 to get it? Seems some guys have used the 38 MM offset without any issues as far as sticking out the side.
Any comments on the tires is appreciated as well. It sounds like the Sumitomos arent the best. Anyone have experience with the Dunlops?

i would go with the 38/36 offsets since i you dont have a camaro. im gonna get some black zr1's with the sumi's also. i had dunlop 9000's on my back tires and they blew goat nuts. i hear sumi's arent bad for the price.

The extra 500 is for the tires. I had a set of sumitomo's on mine when I first got them and quickly got rid of them. awsome wet traction but none for the dry. handling is **** as well. if you are gonna get the rims my suggestion is to by just the rims. and then equip with the tires of your choice. Me for example 275 G-force kdw up front and 315 nitto dr's out back. I have the grandsport off set on mine the only issue I had was the bump stops. I had to cut them in half and mod the mount to get the tires to go on correctly.
