Why does the center console/shifter area jerk up whenever my car makes the 2-3 shift?

Why does the center console/shifter area jerk up whenever my car makes the 2-3 shift? If I go REAL easy on the throttle it does not do it. It does not do it at any other shifts, although, I did not give it TOO much more throttle after the initial 2-3 shift.
