define "worth it". i've yet to see it perform any better then a lid. for 250 you can get a lid, do FRA, new filter, smooth bellow (fernco, ect).

I think the general consensus seems to be just what Jeramie said. I think a clear lid looks a lot better than the K&N kit anyway. Mine looks sweet with the blue Holley Powershot filter. All in all they perform the same and one is a lot cheaper. I think that makes the decision easy.

i spent 110 bucks on my mti clear induction lid, and bought a filter for 40, so thats 150 bucks for a nice looking lid, in which test and people say prob performs the best.

I have the FIPK, and it comes down, really, to: Do you want to spend the extra money for the look? That's the biggest difference. I personally preferred the look of the FIPK filter as opposed to a replacement lid, and I was willing to spend the extra money.

i got my FIPK slightly used for about what it'd cost for a lid, filter, bellows, etc. i like the look, but wouldn't spend 250-300 on it til i'm makin a hell of a lot more money than i am now, lol.

I love my fipk. I payed around 250 dlls for mine too brand new and I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that the filter element is beautifully trimmed with REAL Carbon Fiber. I just love the high-tech look of CF.
