It all depends on numerous things...Is the engine rebuilder boreing the block alot or just enough to clean up the cyclinder walls? Are the heads stock heads or have they been modified? What compression ratio? If you plan on racing the car alot, your not seeing your cars full potential without a converter. With stock 241 casting heads, normal 346 cubes, 10:1 compression ratio, and an a4 car id say any where from 370-385.

the head gaskets are supposed to increase the compression by one point, stock bore size. this car is my daily driver what size converter should i run, i'd like to keep the gas milage up. thanks

The Precision Industries Vigi or Yank 2800-3200 would be fine as a daily driver...Some people daily drive a 3500-4000 stall though, its up to you...If it were me I would do a 3200-3500 as a daily driver...
