cam falling off early
I've got a ls6 cam in my car and it peaks at about 6100. Obviously, that's low compared to some others.
Now if the cam was degreed in wrong when it was installed, could that cause this?

I don't think that's early for the LS6 cam... the Z06s have their rev limiter set at 6500-6600 if I'm not mistaken, which would mean peak hp should come on around 6000-6100 rpms.
The LS1 cam on the other hand peaks about 5500, rev limiter set at 6200.

6100 rpm is correct!
I remember seeing a dyno graph of a stock 2002 Z06 and the peak hp was exactly at 6000rpm.
Don't be confused with the rev limiter or shift point.
