Default you guys wont believe this

IM LOOSING MY MIND

Well My I-forged wheels came in about a week ago (after waiting 10 weeks)
so i went to talk to a recomended tire guy for BFG-KDW2's
he had to order them, that took about a week which is kill me as its now about 70 in Michigan and i wanna drive this car!!!!

Any way.... I took them to get mounted Saturday Morning (thinking Sunday drive) when i pick them up the guy says Oh the lips got a little scratched
while mounting the tires
...."these rims are APITA to mount" he says but
I got some polish if you can come back monday (closing at noon) ill fix that right up. I went home and hit it with Mothers Billet Polish 3 times in the same spot and abou 25% improvement. So now Moday comes and I Hvent slept well in 2 days freakin about this. I took the day off of work (which was my B-day nontheless)took them there and hes like "well if you couldnt polish it i dont think I can" my reply was you will fix this or i will drive my truck though the front of the store. So now he found some guy that has the equip and can do the High polish so i take them there hes like "we'll see if it will come out"
Finally talked to him 2day and says first rim looks brand new I have not seen it yet so that remains to be seen .

Sorry such a long post but i had to vent
Ill keep ya posted
Thanks
Guys

Man im glad i have my uncle to do that stuff for me. He works at the Sheriffs department and has mounted and balanced my tires for free for the past several years. He was saying that some wheels are tricky but there is no way you should be scratchin wheels if you are doing it the right way. Makes me feel better that i can go to him rather than have to hand expensive *** wheels to some joe schmo working at the local tire shop.

I am glad I have access to the equipment to mount my own tires. My chromed 18x9 Roh RT's are not as expensive, but I had to wait as long for them. I would have been POed. Good luck on getting them taken care of.

If they don't look brand new I would make them buy me a new set. Those are some b.s. excuses. If they didn't think they could do the job right for you without scracthing your rim they should have never accepted the task.

I totally agree. No way would I have taken it as calmly as you have. They would be buying me a new wheel. Good luck with that and let us know what happens
