Default cant do a burnout???!!!

just installed a 3400 2.0 fuddle racing stall in my car...

now i try to test it out.

i press the brake, stops at about 2400, then i continue to press the gas as far down to do a burnout and it wont go past 2400 rpms? it wont let me do a burnout? what could it be? it did one before the stall went in?

sounds like your in 2nd gear I had this problum a few times pull it down in first gear and try again, its not going to stall at 3400rpm's either you will need a line lock and some sticky azz tires to stall it to 3000

hummm, I dunno about that. I just stalled my 3800 to 3400rpms at the track using nothing but my brakes and nitto tires

2nd gear?

it does this at all times...i have tried about 10 times to do a burnout, and still nothing!

rpms get stuck at around 2400.....i dont want the stall to go higher if it cant, what i want to do is a burn out, how am i supposed to warm up my tires at the track?!

Your problem is in the tunning. The car still thinks it has a stock converter in it, and you are shifting into second gear because of the rpm you are at. Put the car in first and try, otherwise get a tune.....or tell fuddle racing about it. I honestly think that the tune is the problem, and do not recomend you drive it hard until you change the shift points.

At part throttle shifting needs MPH threshold to be exceeded.
Now, the stock vehicle tune has some lame-*** shiftpoints
and the first bit of wheelspin may kick you up into 2nd, never
to recover (unless you get back below 11MPH). Too, a throttle
that hasn't been worked over or has too much cable slack or
whatever, may not put your TPS to the magic WOT % that
invokes the WOT upshift limits, maybe leaves you at the 90%
part throttle shiftpoints in the table.

2400 fot-stall on a nominal 3400 does seem low and the 2.0
STR should let you roast 'em. I would check underneath for
some install-related stupidity like a messed up wire or hanging
connector (like the CKP sensor which is right there where the
work was done). Do you have any codes showing up or any
other reduced-power symptoms?

Did the build sheet come with yours, and does it indicate
the numbers you asked for? Hopefully nobody mis-wrote
your order and got you a 2400 rather than 3400... that
would suck, though I don't expect this would be the case.

i did email john, to get it situated.
'
my friend has a ssf 3500 stall and he has no problems burning out or nothing!

according to john, my car should stall to about 3000, and it is a 3400 stall.
