i ordered a stock 3.23 differential from our sponsor TENNESSEE AUTO
and i pick it up from compton tomorrow
so before i pack the M1911 and roll three cars deep to try and get in and out without leaking transmission fluid all over my own seats,
how do i get my stock differential out?
i removed the driveshaft and torque arm
but thats the end of my know-how
now what do i do?
is there a writeup on how to remove the diff?
maybe to install?
swap?
help?

The whole rear end housing? Since you undid the T/A & drive shaft, now disconnect ABS sensor (s)( 3 or 4 channel)
Remove the calipers & mounting brackets. Unclip the brake lines from the axle tube crimps. Undo all the supports & stand off's from the rear diff. cover . Undo the parking brake cables. & push the ends thru the retaining bracket by compressing the retaining clips. Undo the lower control arm bolts. Then remove brake line/parking brake retaing bracket from housing. Postion it up w/ brake lines & calipers so it is out of harms way for the housing removal. I usually use bungie cords to hold them up. Unbolt the panhard bar from housing. Have housing supported w/jack & stands, undo the lower shock nuts & then drop the housing down & remove springs, or they will fall out.
Make sure to keep springs & rubber's orintatied properly for re-installation.

Just unbolt everything connected to it. If its bolted, unbolt it. Easy enough principle.

I found this link the other day...hope it helps.
http://www.xse.com/leres/ss/differential.html
There is at least one site that I found recently that is more detailed but it is sitting on my computer at home.
