Default Drilled a hole in tube coming off the gas tank *oops*

Well I was pop riveting a plate over the hole left after my walbro 255 pump install. Anyways I was pre-drilling the holes in the floor and I got into a black tube coming out of the tank. Its 4-5 inches forward of the pump assembly , i think it might be coming off the charcoal canister. Is this bad, the car runs/drives fine, no fuel leaking or codes thrown (yet its only been 15miles). Im just wondering how to go about fixing the problem. If its only a vent tube or something then i'll just rap it with tape, rather than replacing it.

if its not leaking it must of been an emissions line or vent.

tape may not be the best solution, as gasoline is not very nice to most tapes.

where is the charcol canister located on the f body's? maybe replace the vent line???

ive used barbed brass unions on the black nylon fuel lines before with success..you cut out the sectino you drilled into, but be careful not good idea to leave fuel/vapor lines in that condition.
