Default same converter different power levels

Just ordered a tci converter for my th400 conversion my 01 z28 made 430 hp and 400ft at the wheel's if i wanted the converter to stall at say 3800 rpm would that same converter stall at alot less in a stock ls1. the reason i'm asking is when i ordered my converter and he started asking about my setup he said he would have to use a differnt stator combination then he would for a stock ls1. Thanks for the help.

Yes it will stall lower on a stock engine LS1. When you add HP and TQ your converter will stall at a higher RPM if I am not mistaken.
