wow, that's heartbreaking. my wife just asked me if i think about that happening at all when my car is done. all i could say is "yes", but it's something you hope never happens.

That sucks, but the guy never even let off the accelerator when the car started into the slide, he stayed in it the entire time.

I kind of thought that was the case. I figured the guy sitting on the retaining wall with his head hung low was the owner.

He was screwed it is agreed, but letting off of it would have done some good, you never know.

Easy to say.. letting off could have made it even worse. Ever get a little sideways going into second and let off??? BAD IDEA... WHIP WHIP WHIP

I dont think it would have made a difference in this case since the car lifted so much.
