How often do they run street cars like that? How much? I'm only about 45 min away.....Saw the Speed Channel GT cars there last year.....looks like a blast.

yo chef! on the long straights, i was hitting about 125. right before the downhill (under the bridge) i hit 90. those are the only two spots i remember.

blackls1Z: they run street cars like that very often. more than a few times per month. lime rock, watkins glen, pocono are the local ones for me. Virginia Int'l Raceway (VIR) is a bit further south. it costs between $200-275 to race your car, depending on which club you are going with. that includes an instructor for the whole day if you are a novice. check out this site for a complete east coast schedule for most of the clubs:

WECIV: i was in the upper intermediate class. no one passed me. other fast cars in my group was a new M3, and nice M5, a cool pantera, and nice shelby daytona replica, a gutted out 911, and that red sunbeam tiger v8.

i'm doing pocono east with PDA this coming friday. can't wait!

Nice, my co-worker and friend race at just about all the tracks you mentioned. He races competitively in SCCA in a BMW 325IS in ITS class. I have to get out there one of these days. The kid's an instructor too, so it's not like I have any excuses not to anymore.

Damn Lime Rock is so close yet I have never been there...yet. I would love to try out my car on that track just after a few more suspension upgrades.
