Default Where is the best place to attach your engine hoist?

I have a long block in a engine crate, how and where is the best place to attach to and lift the motor out ? might be stupid question i just do not want to screw anything up!!!!!!

i used the bottom holes on opposite corners of the block...not sure if its best but it worked for me a few times

one chain on the upper most middle bellhousing bolt hole and up to hoist then bolt hole in front side of block on driverside and same on pasanger side sould level out the motor

I bolted the Happy Hooker the cover plate bolt locations under the intake (the plate with the knock sensors in it). Came out like a hot knife through butter. Basically it is an L shaped (probably 60 degrees or so) hook attached to a plate that naturally lets the back of the motor drop down. The plate bolts down with 6 of the cover plate bolts. I took the trany and motor out at the same time. That way you dont have to worry about chains and what not. Just hook and go. I dont have any pics right now.

That is how it is going to go back in as well.

i've seen bolts into the heads (by the grounding points on the back of the heads, and the EGR bracket/power steering pump on the front), but i'm not sure considering i've never done it. just a thought
