We had a friendly grudge match setup against fastescalade's ProCharged Escalade today. Both trucks were full weight (on 24's and full of stereo equipment). As you'll see, I was sleeping at the tree and he got me off the line pretty bad. I launched at 3 lbs. and at the 53 second mark in the video you will see the truck torque steer to the right and I let out and get back in it. You'll also hear the stock trans not liking the added power at the 59 second mark, once again I let out for a moment so it would shift and got back in it. Time to build a trans :D Good race John, that was a blast!

Specs and results are as follows:

2003 Cadillac Escalade

Weight - 6,055 lbs. with 1/2 tank of gas

It was a little squirley and I also thought it was going to steer into the wall, so I let off for a moment to straighten it out.

Man that truck must be a blast on the street! Full luxury of a Caddilac and the power to crush just about anything on the street! Amazing!

It is quite fun... surprises quite a bit of people on the street.

Thanks for the comments.

I see you're in the Detroit area, so you'll probably see it out and about this summer. I take it out quite a bit to local shows and cruises.

Both of those trucks were fast. Either one would be a great daily driver but I'm leaning toward the turbo escalade.

good lord that was fast! ever try runnin her on slicks. im pretty sure with some weight removal and slicks u would probably break 11's. i know those 24's aint helpin u much but none the less a 12 second truck on 24's is nothing to be ashamed of. u should race that one dude that has a nitrous fed sierra posted not too long ago running high 11's on 22's. hehe that would be a nice vid.

I think with a good trans it would go mid 12's how it sits.... with some smaller wheels (20 or 22) maybe lower 12's. Last time I took it out it broke the transfer case in half :bang: I'm actually kind of surprised the engine has stayed together, because it is 100% bone stock!

I'll be running a 383 stroker LT-4 with around 480bhp, then tweak it and add a turbo. Hope to have around 700-800 down to the ground. For a t-case, I'm running a special-built Dodge NP241 with billet internals, made specifically to hold at least that much power. What side drop is your front axle?
