I have a Y2K WS6 TA. I had a little click sound sort of like someone tapping a small wrench on the drive shaft when any torque is applied to it. I took the car in under warranty and they replace the shaft. Not more than a month went by and the shaft is doing it again. Any ideas are welcome. I love the car. I'm thnking I ought to put a shaft loop of some sort on it....

I can be reached on AIM on either screen name:

A lot of them do this. My A4 '99 Z28 did, but my current A4 '00 WS6 doesn't <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

Many get shaft after shaft and they still do it. If you really want to be rid of it, look into some of the after market units.

Do you think there is any danger of it dropping out?
