Default Cam swapping advice

Ok I was all set to make the drive to thunder racing for a head and cam install untill they replied with the spring adjustment every 20,000 miles. Can't do it. So, PLEASE HELP, I'm trying to build a faster but low maintenance car. I was thinking Stage III heads, 224,224 cam but with headers, clutch, install and dyno it was about $7200, too rich for my blood. N

Now how about if I do a milder cam maybe a step above a $900 Z06 cam and springs. 1200 headers with cats and $450 dyno tune and that's it.
Will I still have to keep adjusting things?
Will I get an extra 60 horses?
Will I still get my 20 mpg?

i have a TR224 114 and i dont have to adjust the springs all the time. get everything due the install yourself and then bring it to them to tune it. the install is fun. get the 224 you will love it.

Go with either the ls6 cam or the hotcam and you won't have to worry about changing the springs every 20k.
