Default Any LT1 gurus in Chicago Area

I am having so many little stupid problems that I am about to part my car out. I bought a 383 from ape put everything together and am getting a knock once the car starts but most of the time it doesnt even start and it fouls out the plugs real fast. I just need someone to give me a second opinion about some of the things going on with it because I just spent 3g on drivetrain and want to use it. I dont have a lot of money but i can at least give you something for helping.. Pm me or reply in here. Thanks in advance

Well, let me know what your availability is, we can hook up my scanmaster to it, and see whats going on.

Has this sucker ever ran right with that motor? Has it ever been tuned? Is the opti brand new? Have you ever checked it for trouble codes?

It wont run long enough to get codes.. I think im gonna bring my pcm back to speed and make sure they did it right for my injectors because the car cranks fine when I have the pcm ign and pcm batt fuse pulls which means the only time its messing up is when it has fuel and spark and the plugs are wayy fouled just from it running for 10 seconds so im going to see what they programmed it to... Im almost positive it is a tuning issue

Does it have a fuel leaking down issue? An injector sticking or a blown out regulator? Why is it getting so much fuel, sure it's the tune? Is the oil full of fuel?

there is fuel in the oil o I changed the oil.. I checked injectors none seem to be leaking they are also brand new. Nothing in the vacuum line for the stock regulator I have on there so thats fine too. All rockers are adjusted to zero lash.the only time it will try to start is when I hold the pedal to the floor(anti flood mode). I really think it wasnt tuned right for the injectors

since theres gas in the oil that means it flooded.. try this keep your foot off of it and spray some starting fluid in the intake and see if it will run.

If this is a fresh motor why not crank it & see if it'll hit now full throttle. Disconnect the fuel pump relay if you have to.
