Default TCI stalled guys please enter

Im about to get a SS TCI 3000...

Will I need a trans cooler and shift kit w/the TCI converters?
Or is it beneficial to get both?

thanks in advance

Shift kit is not necessary, but the shifts will feel a lot looser without one A tranny cooler is a must with any aftermarket converter

I think 3000 is considered right on the borderline. Less than that, it's not needed, more than that and it is definitely needed. I didn't want to take any chances, so I did a cooler on mine.

Shift kit - I would have done with or without the converter.

As everyone says, the cooler is mandatory, and a Transgo shift kit is highly advisable for several reasons: crisp, quick shifts, more positive lock-up, and better fluid circulation. I almost love the shift kit more than the converter and would not have a higher stall converter without one.

I just installed a transgo kit and now I kick myself for not installing it 6 mo ago when I did my tci3000. It feels like a different car.

Get a trans cooler and a shift kit. A SSF instead of the SF wouldn't hurt either.

I did all the stage 2 stuff in the instructions. There were some places to drill in the separator plate.

3500 isn't too big. I spend most of my average/lazy acceleration between 2k and 2.5k rpm. Now that my trans is starting to go I am looking into restalling higher while I have the chance.
